This is an exciting opportunity to join a great team and make a real difference to the environment and communities of Dover. Working with local communities and stakeholders, you will be responsible for the delivery of Our Finest Dour– a 3 year Heritage Lottery Fund project to enhance and celebrate the River Dour, a chalk stream running through the heart of Dover town.


Essential Requirements

  • Experience of engaging local communities in wildlife and the environment
  • Experience of planning and delivering a range of events for local people and schools
  • Experience of project management, preparing briefs and managing contractors
  • Experience of working with volunteers
  • Knowledge of river environments and relevant legislation
  • A knowledge and understanding of methods and techniques of community engagement, increasing access and tackling social exclusion
  • Degree or equivalent in a related discipline or substantial relevant experience
  • A full, clean driving licence


Some work outside of normal office hours will be required.
