Tayside Reserves lie in East Scotland and provide a range of key habitats for breeding lapwing, marsh harriers and a wide range of wildfowl. The wetland reserves include RSPB Loch Leven, part of Loch Leven NNR managed for lowland waders with a visitor centre and 50,000 visitors a year, Loch of Kinnordy, a tranquil, low key reserve which provides visitors with an intimate wildlife experience, and the Tay Reedbeds, the largest reedbed in the UK, where we primarily manage for bearded tits.

You will be based at RSPB Loch Leven but work on all three reserves, carrying out a range of habitat management, biological monitoring and people engagement activities. We are looking for an enthusiastic, flexible person to assist with conservation efforts to ensure the best breeding and wintering conditions for target species.

You will work closely with staff and volunteers on a range of projects. You will have a good knowledge of environmental issues, good bird ID skills and experience of practical conservation. The role will be varied across reserves and seasons and would suit someone keen to build on previous experience and eager to meet new challenges.
