Bowland Ecology is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Senior Ecologist. The successful candidate will be a hands-on project managing individual with a minimum 5 years’ experience of ecological consultancy, a comprehensive knowledge of wildlife regulation, best practice survey methodologies and mitigation techniques. Additional attributes will include attention to detail, delivering work to deadlines and managing multiple projects effectively.  


Experience of business development, health and safety and line management is also desirable. These tasks will form a significant part of the role, therefore previous experience and/or a strong desire to perform these functions is essential.


The successful candidate will be a flexible thinker in terms of providing solutions to ecological problems and will preferably hold European protected species licences and/or be able to demonstrate technical expertise in an a key discipline.  Experience of the EIA process is expected and knowledge of Habitats Regulations Assessment would also be an advantage.
