The Butterfly Effect Project Officer (Part-time)

2 year fixed term contract. 18 hours 30 minutes per week (0.5 fte)

£24,307 - £28,083 (Grade C) pro rata, plus 5% pension contribution

 

We are seeking an enthusiastic, creative and highly organised Project Officer to deliver our new education scheme, ‘The Butterfly Effect’. This builds on our flagship education project, ‘Munching Caterpillars’ aimed at inspiring an interest in butterflies, moths and their caterpillars among young people.

 

Based in the Gloucestershire area, you will deliver a programme of activities in primary schools and communities, and develop new opportunities to raise an awareness and understanding of local conservation action and improvement of habitation.

 

The suitable candidate will have a strong commitment to environmental education. Practical experience of planning and running children’s activities is essential as well as some knowledge of butterflies and moths. The successful applicant will be required to undertake a full Disclosure & Barring Service check as this role entails regular working with children.
