Staunton and Queen Elizabeth Country Parks are two of Hampshire County Council's most popular visitor attractions hosting around 500,000 visits each year. We have full programmes of events for the public; we also actively welcome schools visits and have many valued volunteers assisting our park staff.

In our challenging and people facing role as Senior Ranger, you’ll take the lead on the Conservation Management of the Parks, including overseeing our HLS agreement, developing Ranger Team Management Plans, site maintenance work and other key deliverables. Much of this role will be people facing; supporting the development and delivery of the events and education programme for the site and supporting our volunteers. You'll also support the wider Countryside Service Ranger teams and as such you'll work across the Parks and Sites, as the Service requires.

You'll have a relevant degree and have significant experience in a similar role, preferably in management. You will have excellent organizational, planning, communication and people management skills, experience in working with the general public. You’ll be enthusiastic, inventive and flexible and able to work on your own initiative and within a small team. Weekend working will be a requirement of your role.

You should be physically fit, have excellent IT skills and also hold a current driving licence.
