Based: Dean Bradley House, 52, Horseferry Road, London SW1P 2AF (with time to be spent at sites across London overseeing delivery work)  


London Wildlife Trust is recruiting a Nature Reserves Manager to join the team. We currently manage 36 nature reserves, from woodlands and wetlands, to chalk downs and unique brownfield sites, which serve to provide key refuges for a variety of species, and offer opportunities for people to experience wildlife close to hand. We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to lead on, and oversee their management and enhancement, and further improve and shape our reserves portfolio over the next five years. 


The ideal candidate will have:  


  • demonstrable experience of conservation land management frameworks and techniques; 
  • experience of relevant legislation and consenting regimes; 
  • the experience and ability to work with a range of staff, volunteers, contractors and partners;  
  • rigorous budget management skills, and an ability to identify opportunities to secure resources; 
  • a broad knowledge of the biodiversity of London and how it is influenced by the city; 
  • excellent project management skills; 
  • knowledge of relevant survey & monitoring techniques; 
  • excellent communication skills, with an enthusiastic, tenacious and positive ‘can do’ attitude and a creative mind set.
