We currently have a vacancy for a Lead Countryside & Woodland Advisor.

This role will be based in Bradford/Leeds and remote working in line with our flexible working conditions.

Salary £36,026 - £45,453 , car allowance,  quarterly bonus, pension, 25 days holiday + Bank Holidays, subsidised gym & restaurant.

 

Yorkshire Water is seeking to maintain and develop further its reputation as a leader in recreation for its customers as part of its Land Strategy. Yorkshire Water has over 50,000 acres in 3 National Parks, stretching from Sheffield to Northallerton and the Pennine Moors to the Yorkshire coast. The estate includes moorland, woodland, footpaths, car parks and reservoirs where much of the land is either tenanted or operational. Here we offer a diverse and interesting range of activities, and biodiverse habitats to our visitors, many of whom are Yorkshire Water customers. Within our recreational estate we have many innovative and exciting initiatives such as the planting of One Million Trees across our estate, the use of the emerging and innovative Six Capitals appraisal approach, the management of our woodlands to UKWAS4, timber harvesting, the award winning Tophill Low Nature Reserve that have led to visitor satisfaction levels independently surveyed at 99% positive.

 

We are seeking an experienced person who can manage the Company’s recreational and access duties and responsibilities under the Water Industry Act. You will lead and manage teams as required and oversee a works programme and budget, public safety on Yorkshire Water land, and the woodland estate. You will need to both meet the requirements of the Recreational Strategy and the other policies, strategies and practices embedded within the Company as well as support the development of these. You will need to maintain positive relationships with stakeholders, customers, service partners and other teams within Yorkshire Water for positive media coverage and company reputation.
