BASC is the largest sporting shooting organisation in the UK, serving a growing membership of over 150,000 and a wide variety of stakeholder and public interests. It acts as a representative body for sporting shooting - fostering opportunity, safety, high standards and wildlife conservation.

 

BASC are looking to appoint a Wildfowling Administrator to support our busy department. The successful individual will have the opportunity to develop their career, while supporting the wildfowling department.

 

The purpose of the role will be to provide proactive, comprehensive and efficient administrative support to the wildfowling department with the aim of ensuring that the association operates as effectively as possible.

 

Therefore the successful candidate will:

 

  • Assist in the preparation of the annual wildfowling bag returns with close liaison with wildfowling clubs
  • Support the process of preparing management plans in close liaison with wildfowling clubs
  • Acting as first point of contact for telephone and email enquiries to the wildfowling department
  • Managing and producing the annual wildfowling permit scheme in close liaison with the wildfowling clubs and wildfowling officer
  • Responsible for issuing copies of the permit scheme as requested
  • Assist in the administration of the annual wildfowling conference
  • Administrative support to the holder of the punt gunning register
