A new opportunity exists within The British Deer Society, the leading organisation working solely for the welfare of the UK’s wild deer population. BDS provides a highly successful programme of training encompassing the humane management of deer and adherence to best practice.

 

As part of continued growth, the BDS wishes to appoint a Head of Training Development to take a strategic role managing and progressing the Society’s training projects.

 

This is envisaged as a part time role of some 2.5 days per week acting as Head of the Society’s Assessment Centre for DMQ and developing training projects to new and wider audiences. Due to the nature of the work some evening and weekend working may be expected.

 

Candidates should ideally have considerable deer sector experience and hold DSC1, DSC2, appropriate Assessor qualifications and preferably those of IQA.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • Be innovative and visionary
  • Be able to develop training curricula, documentation and e-delivery
  • Have good planning, presentation, time & project management skills
  • Be highly IT competent          
  • Have excellent communication skills.
