We are seeking motivated individuals to work in the Service Delivery Directorate within the Visitor Business and Economy Unit. You will assist in developing an enjoyable customer experience at the Country Parks across the borough, ensuring that visitors receive excellent customer service at all times. You will provide information, advice and assistance to visitors and assist with education, activities and events for local schools and groups.

 

You must have a good level of education or relevant experience; it would be beneficial if you held an NVQ or similar qualification in a related field. Your role will involve working with customers so experience in a customer service role is essential; experience of working in Country Parks and visitor attractions is highly desirable. It would also be advantageous if you had some practical ability in tool use to assist with minor maintenance work of the visitor facilities.

 

You will be the first point of call for visitors, including first aid, and you will work in the visitor centre/information desk as required. You will also be required to work weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. There will be various events and educational activities that you will be required to assist with. You will keep records of all aspects of work and enquiries in line with policies and procedures for the council. You will ensure that visitors observe the Country Parksí policies, laws and byelaws and make sure the Councilís property and stock are secure at all times.
