Ranger

Bracknell Forest Council Parks & Countryside service is responsible for more than 300 hectares of green spaces, ranging from play areas and sports pitches to meadows and woodlands. We endeavour to manage this land to a high standard, this being a key objective for the Council. Six sites currently hold Green Flag Awards and two of our historic parks have been restored with grants from the Heritage Lottery Fund and Big Lottery Fund. Involvement of local communities is also central to this success.

An opportunity has arisen to join our existing Ranger team. This is a superb opportunity for an individual with enthusiasm, practical skills and experience in green space management to be part of the team responsible for co-ordinating and implementing the management and maintenance of countryside sites, rights of way and nature reserves.

Parks and Countryside have recently undergone a transformation review, with an emphasis on income generation and alternative more efficient ways of working. All staff are therefore encouraged to have an entrepreneurial spirit.

If you have the proven experience we are looking for, then we hope you will apply to join our award-winning team.
