The Bat Conservation Trust (BCT) is seeking a new Chair of its Board of Trustees

Location: London

From September 2019


This is an exciting and challenging leadership role, and is a voluntary, unpaid position.


BCT is proud to be the UKs leading non-governmental organisation devoted solely to the conservation of bats and their habitats. Since its formation in 1991, BCT has grown to become an organisation with more than 6,000 members, with offices in England, Wales and Scotland and a team of around 30 staff.


As Chair of BCT you would be expected to provide leadership to the BoT, working with the Chief Executive to ensure it remains focussed on the delivery of BCTs charitable objectives and its long-term strategy.


You will need proven leadership skills, an understanding of charity governance, and a passion for and knowledge of nature conservation. You will need an interest in bats, or a desire to learn about them.
