Salary: £29,130 plus 5% pension

Closing date: Sunday 2 June

Are you ready for the next step in your conservation career - leading the restoration of a major Devon river and its landscape?

The Torridge, one of Devonís principal river catchments, is suffering long term chronic decline driven by diffuse agricultural pollution. The Torridge River Restoration Project is an ambitious, integrated programme of advisory and capital works interventions. Working with landowners, it aims to restore the water quality and ecological health of two extensive priority areas - the upper and lower catchment - covering more than 22,000 hectares. Devon Wildlife Trust is the lead partner for the project, working with the Environment Agency and contractors within the Northern Devon Nature Improvement Area. It is funded by Defraís Water Environment Grant through to March 2021.

This post will oversee and deliver the new Torridge River Restoration Project (TRRP), including management of a small staff team, capital budgets, procurement and processes, and reporting of project outputs, in addition to some direct advisory work.  This is a full-time (37.5 hours per week), fixed term appointment until March 2021, based at DWTís Cookworthy office in North Devon.

We can offer you good terms and conditions and flexible working arrangements. The successful candidate will be joining a team of committed, hardworking and friendly colleagues. This is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career within a leading Devon charity.
