Logo: Yorkshire Wildlife TrustRiver Foss Project Assistant – 3 days per week 

£20000 p.a.  Pro rata plus up to 9% employer pension contribution

 

Would you like to play a part in creating a Yorkshire rich in wildlife for everyone? Would you like to combine your passion for the environment with your skills and experience to improve habitat quality and quantity?  

 

The River Foss Project Assistant will work primarily around the north-east of York. The post holder will help deliver a new Living Landscape project in North Yorkshire working with external partners, local communities and as part of a team with other staff, volunteers and trainees.

           

As well as being passionate and enthusiastic about our mission to secure Living Landscapes and Living Seas, you will have excellent communication skills to work with our existing networks and stakeholders. You will be highly organised and have a positive ‘can do’ attitude. We are looking for someone with good knowledge of or willing to learn natural flood management techniques as well the ability to work with farmers and landowners. You will be a keen team player with the ability to work under your own initiative as appropriate.
