Rights Of Way Officer

Based at West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire

An opportunity has arisen for a Rights of Way officer within the Environmental Management and Design Team. This multidisciplinary team delivers rights of way management, engineering, landscape, contaminated land, topographical survey and acoustics services. We provide services to clients both within and external to Nottinghamshire County Council, across a wide range of project type and scale. One of our key responsibilities is the management of the County’s Rights of Way network.


The Rights of Way Officer will be responsible for the management of a specific area of the county (central and east of Nottingham). They will also help support the Senior Rights of Way Officer in the development and delivery of the rights of way network management across Nottinghamshire working closely with the County Council. The post is full time. The ideal candidate will have: - minimum 1 years’ experience of rights of way management a degree or NVQ level 5 in a countryside related subject.- experience of CAMs, MapInfo or equivalent GIS system- experience of organising and supervising rights of way maintenance work  experience of working with landowners, stakeholders and the public- a good working knowledge of Rights of Way legislation- a current driving license
