Logo: CGP BooksGrounds Project Manager – Lake District Private Estate

(Salary £30k+ and great benefits)

Although CGP is an educational publishing company (the UK’s No.1 in fact) we also have a passion for property and grounds.  We’re looking for a talented person to take responsibility for grounds projects across our Lake District estate which extends to more than 100 acres.

Our head office at Eccle Riggs Hall has a golf course and stunning Lakeland views, but the wider estate extends to cover parkland, woodlands, ponds and gardens.

As Grounds Project Manager you’ll be experienced in estate or countryside management with a sound track record of project delivery and a passion for the environment you’re working in.  You’ll thrive on taking ownership and work collaboratively with your colleagues on varied hard landscaping projects and planting schemes.  A keen eye for detail is essential as is an engaging and down-to-earth manner.

You’ll have exceptional customer service, energy and drive and will make a real impact by:

  • Producing robust work programmes and tracking systems for all grounds projects and tasks
  • Managing workflow of our diverse estates team and contractors, whilst rolling your sleeves up
  • Dealing with operational issues, with a focus on solutions, not problems
  • Challenging people to meet your high standards, and monitoring quality of work
  • Enthusing others with your positive attitude and superb interpersonal skills

Applicants must be flexible, trustworthy, proactive and organised with excellent communication skills.  A full driving licence is essential.
