Salary 27k - 29k pa, depending on qualifications and experience; Maternity cover contract; full-time 35 hours per week; post based at Curdridge, near Botley, Hampshire.

 

Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust is the leading local nature conservation charity and is one of the largest of the county-based Wildlife Trusts with a lively, dedicated and passionate team of 90 staff and 1400 volunteers.

 

This role is an exciting opportunity for a rising HR professional to gain hands on experience of shaping and developing our HR function. If you enjoy working in a high performing, fast paced environment and implementing new ways of working, then this is the role for you.  The role will provide a talented senior HR advisor with an opportunity to step up into a management role or provide an experienced HR manager with a fresh challenge as we are seeking a dynamic HR professional with strong generalist HR experience to cover maternity leave within our Business Resources Team.

 

The role would suit someone who loves variety as well as someone who may have worked in a stand-alone HR function; every day is different - from coaching managers on a range of topics to managing HR projects and policy development and writing reports around HR metrics.

 

You will be supporting the Director of Finance and Resources in our evolving People Strategy and ensuring its effective implementation (taking the lead in many areas). You will be involved in every stage of the HR cycle with a team of two part-time assistants.

 

You will be flexible and approachable with the ability to provide a high-level service that is effective, efficient and customer-focused. With our people being at the heart of our organisation, the ability to build strong relationships at all levels is essential so if you are a confident communicator and whose passion is people we would love to hear from you.
