Based at Inverness Office, North Scotland

Permanent Full Time 37.5 hours

Salary Range £19,602 to £21,236 per annum

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual who will lead the Society’s work with young people and, more generally, support the communications work of the RSPB in the Highlands and Islands.  You will need to be creative, a dynamic team player, a great communicator and enjoy a challenge. You should also be passionate about wildlife and nature conservation.

You should have a collaborative approach and excellent communication skills, working to support teams across the region and working with partners to connect more young people to nature. You will work as part of a committed and enthusiastic team, telling great stories about nature, wildlife and habitats.

We are seeking a candidate who has experience of working with young people as well as in PR, has excellent interpersonal skills and evidence of building good working relationships with both colleagues and external organisations. You will regularly liaise with colleagues across a broad work area, as well as partner organisations, volunteers and others, all to inspire people about the work of RSPB Scotland.

If you believe you are the right person for this exciting and rewarding role, we'd love to hear from you.

The RSPB is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.  This post is subject to the appropriate safeguarding checks upon appointment.  This role is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act.
