Salary range: 17,000 - 19,500.00 per annum (depending on experience)

 

The Cotswold Water Park Trust is offering an exciting opportunity to join its Biodiversity & Estates team.

 

This is a full time post assisting in the day to day maintenance and enhancement of our suite of countryside sites, including country parks, car parks and nature reserves, as well as working with private landowners and partners on a contract basis.  The successful candidate will have particular responsibility for those sites that are operated with angling interests.

 

In addition to strong knowledge of freshwater fish, angling and fishery management, the successful candidate will already have experience of carrying out practical countryside management tasks such as fencing, tree work, footpath maintenance etc, either as a volunteer or for a previous employer. They may also have experience operating tractors (and tractor-mounted implements), chainsaws, brushcutters and other land management machinery.  They will be required to have high levels of tact and diplomacy when dealing with the public and will be expected to enforce the angling rules where necessary.

 

The post will run for an initial 12 month period with the expectation for it to be made permanent subject to funding.  At certain times of the year the role will involve working at weekends and in the evening, with time off given in lieu.
