The Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust (BBOWT) is a membership-based voluntary organisation, managing 90 nature reserves, influencing land management and educating and encouraging all sectors of the community to care for local wildlife.

We would like to recruit an Education and Events Officer to join the team at our busy environmental education centre.  If you have a passion for nature and wildlife, and love working with children, particularly outdoors, this could be the post for you!

Why not experience first-hand our varied and exciting range of educational work by joining our happy and experienced team? The role includes managing and leading outdoor school group activities, both at the centre and offsite, planning and delivering events for families, supporting our Nature Tots pre-school group and developing creative educational resources.

It offers a great opportunity for you to develop your skills in the environmental education field, build experience in working with children in an outdoor setting, and inspire the next generation on our beautiful nature reserve.

Applicants should have a keen interest in environmental education and conservation, and enjoy working with children and people of all ages. Relevant experience is desirable; please see the Job Description for a full list of essential and desirable criteria.

The post is a full time, permanent role based at College Lake, one of our flagship nature reserves and education centres.

Hours: Monday to Friday (with occasional weekends), 8.30am - 4.30pm (with flexibility).

Salary: 20,575 per annum.

Closing date: Monday 16th July 2018, 9am.

Interviews: Monday 23rd July 2018, College Lake Nature Reserve, near Tring (HP23 5QG)
