Natural Heritage Projects Coordinator and Access Projects Coordinator roles

 

Bright Water is a Landscape Partnership Scheme centred on the catchment of the River Skerne in southern County Durham and Darlington. Bright Water is funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and Durham Wildlife Trust is the lead partner. These posts will lead on Natural Heritage and Access Projects with the Bright water programme. Both roles are employed by Durham Wildlife Trust, reporting to the Bright Water Partnership Manager and will initially be based in Newton Aycliffe.

 

Natural Heritage Projects Coordinator, 0.6 FTE, salary 25k pro rata with annual increment and bonus for completing the 45 month contract. This role will work closely with landowners and managers to deliver a suite of habitat restoration projects, appointing and supervising contractors to deliver the work. In addition there will be a significant volunteer support role, leading groups of volunteers and mentoring a volunteer trainee position.

 

Access Projects Coordinator, 0.5 FTE, salary 25k pro rata with annual increment and bonus for completing the 45 month contract. This role will work closely with local authorities, landowners and managers to deliver a suite of access improvement projects, supporting the appointment and supervision of contractors to deliver the work. In addition there will be elements of volunteer support and access interpretation and promotion.
