Logo: River Dee TrustPost: Biologist with the River Dee Trust (RDT), based on Deeside (Aberdeenshire), who will be responsible for the research and monitoring programmes carried out by the Trust. The post is a challenging and significant one as it will be helping to inform the management of one of Scotlandís major rivers. This will include monitoring fish populations, analysing data to inform restoration programmes and communicating the information to stakeholders. The salary is commensurate with experience and with annual review thereafter.

Location: The post will be based at the River Office at Mill of Dinnet, close to Aboyne in the heart of Aberdeenshire. However, work will be undertaken throughout the Dee and Don catchments and will involve a mixture of indoor and outdoor work.

You: You have a background in a biological or environmental science and have a minimum of two years experience of working in a similar field. You can demonstrate practical research skills and instigate scientifically robust research programmes and are experienced at working in the field and report writing. You can communicate scientific information effectively to a non-technical audience. You have an understanding and experience of rivers and catchment related issues. You have a positive proactive attitude and are confident working alone and in a small team.
