Job Title: NIA Advisory Officer (Culm)

Salary: £21,643pa pro rata (pay award pending), plus 5% pension

Do you have a good understanding of wildlife and environmental issues in relation to farming?

Would you enjoy working with farmers and landowners to help safeguard Northern Devonís stunning natural environment?

Would you like to play a significant role in delivering Devon Wildlife Trustís Northern Devon Nature Improvement Area (NIA) programme?

The NIA is an innovative partnership, led by Devon Wildlife Trust that is driving the restoration and re-creation of habitats at a landscape scale, and securing multiple benefits for both wildlife and people through the sustainable management and use of natural resources.

Devon Wildlife Trust is currently recruiting a part time Advisory Officer to work on our Culm Grassland Natural Flood Management Project. The postholder will work with individual land managers to restore and create wet grassland to help reduce flood risk across Northern Devon.  This is a part-time (22.5 hours per week), fixed term appointment until September 2020, based at DWTís Cookworthy office in North Devon.

We can offer you good terms and conditions and flexible working arrangements. The successful candidate will be joining a team of committed, hardworking and friendly colleagues. This is a great opportunity to take the next step in your career within a leading Devon charity.

We will also consider expressions of interest from consultants and self-employed contractors. Please contact Lisa Schneidau (NIA Project Manager) for an informal conversation (01409 221823).
