Apprentice - Countryside Partnership Officer 


165 per week - Fixed Term Contract, 18 months, 37 hours per week 


An Apprentice Countryside Partnership Officer is required at Medway Valley Countryside Partnership.  Based near Maidstone, Kent, this role will require the successful candidate to work 4 days a week with one day a week in formal education. 


The apprentice will assist the partnership team with their wider aims to; enhance, restore and create connected wildlife habitats, improve and promote countryside access, provide biodiversity and land management advice and practical action and deliver environmental education.


The main role of the apprentice will be to assist with practical conservation work such as the control of invasive plants, grassland management and conservation task days. 


Training will be provided including PA1 & PA6a knapsack spraying, tractor driving and brush-cutter license training.  


The apprentice will also assist with project administration, compiling of survey data, delivery of awareness raising events, administering project finances and helping with volunteer practical days.  


This varied, practical role, with its comprehensive training package, will equip the apprentice with the appropriate skills and work experience to gain future employment in Countryside Management or a related field.
