Part-Time Technician - Conservation Service

About Us

Snowdonia National Park Authority protects the natural beauty, wildlife and cultural heritage of Snowdonia National Park. Covering 823 miles of diverse landscape, the Park is home to over 26,000 people, the highest mountain in England and Wales and the largest natural lake in Wales.

We are now looking for a Part-Time Technician to join us (19 hours per week) and support our Conservation, Woodlands and Agriculture Service.

The Benefits

• Salary of £9.74 - £9.93 per hour

The Role

As a Part-Time Technician, you’ll provide technical and administrative support to our Conservation, Woodlands and Agriculture Service.

In this role, you will:

• Provide a support role in the use of GIS (mapping system) within the service
• Respond to general enquiries
• Assist with our financial control systems
• Collect and process data
• Produce documents and reports regarding the service’s work programmes
• Review constraints on applications for permitted development and individual projects

About You

To join us as a Part-Time Technician, you’ll need:

• The ability to communicate in Welsh and English
• At least one year’s experience of technical and administrative work involving computers
• GIS training and experience
• An understanding and appreciation of the unique issues affecting National Parks
• GCSEs (or equivalent), ideally A Levels

We’d like to hear from you if you’ve worked as an Administrator, Technical Administrator, Office Administrator, GIS Assistant, Conservation Assistant, or Admin Assistant.

This role is offered on a part-time basis, working 19 hours per week. We also have a part-time Administration Assistant position available.
