Salary: £37,528 plus company car or car allowance


An exciting and challenging job opportunity has arisen for the post of Rural Estate Delivery Advisor working for Landmarc Support Services Ltd. in the South East of England. Based at Longmoor near Aldershot, the role covers sites across the Defence Training Estate in Hampshire, Sussex, Kent and some outlying establishments.


The Rural Estate Delivery Advisor provides technical advice and strategic guidance on all matters relating to rural estate management. The post supports Landmarc both regionally and nationally to deliver a range of projects and initiatives and ensure compliance and best practice are embedded across the business

We additionally have built deep and enduring capabilities in rural estate management, third party income generation, hard and soft facilities management in critical environments and community support and engagement in remote rural areas.


Primary Duties:


  • Provide expertise, advice and guidance on all aspects of rural estate management
  • Act as regional focal point for the delivery of forestry harvesting and reinvestment initiatives, liaising with head office and contractors.
  • Develop, maintain and support the delivery of Integrated Rural Management Plans
  • Provide technical expertise and support to the delivery of a range of enhancement projects across the rural estate including the natural and historic environment and public access.
  • Support and ensure delivery of rural estate maintenance to contract standards
  • Liaison with a wide range of stakeholders including statutory bodies
  • Support and provide subject matter expertise to cross-regional and national projects
  • Contribute to audit and assurance regimes and commitment to continual improvement
  • Be a responsible member of the senior management team


What you know:


  • Knowledge of Rural Estate Management gained through a level 5 qualification in a relevant discipline including forestry, agriculture, protected sites/species management and land management/agency or equivalent and proven experience.
  • Knowledge of forestry harvesting and planting/infrastructure works, contract management and supervision to FISA standard.
  • Knowledge of protected natural and historic environment management, woodland and arboricultural  management, public access and wider sustainable land management
  • Proven ability in successful management and delivery of environmental projects.
  • Able to deliver subject matter expertise clearly and concisely and in an understandable fashion depending on audience
  • Proven ability in successful management and delivery of environmental projects.
  • Experience of performance management
  • Knowledge and experience in delivering complex projects with a range of stakeholders
  • Health and safety knowledge
