Reports to: Chief Executive Salary : £40,655 - £42,944 per annum Hours : Full time Permanent - 37.5hrs per week Based : Devizes SN10 1NJ
This is an exciting opportunity to join of one of the UK’s leading
environmental charities. Your appointment as Head of Conservation will
be an opportunity to let your vision and leadership shine, as you take
responsibility for the development and delivery of the Trust’s
conservation objectives. In addition, as a member of the Senior
Leadership Team you will share collective responsibility for the day to
day management of the Trust as a whole.
You must have an excellent understanding of nature conservation and
the opportunities and challenges. We are looking for an innovative
individual with an entrepreneurial approach and a strong commitment to
the environment. You will be responsible for the strategic development,
management and coordination of the Trust’s conservation work as well as
directly managing your team of conservation professionals.
The successful candidate will have excellent management experience
and have the qualities to inspire, motivate and ensure staff
performance. You should have a successful track record of negotiating
contracts and agreements and experience of fundraising, budget control
and project development.
This is a variable, technical and fast-paced role requiring
substantial experience, political awareness, ability to generate income,
financial literacy, stakeholder management and a flexible approach. The
successful candidate will be educated to degree or further degree level
or have equivalent experience.
