Salary: £22,185 (pro rata) plus 5% pension Closing date: Sunday 8 December Are you a passionate advocate for the benefits of being in nature?
Are you a dynamic communicator? Nature Friendly Schools is a Defra funded; nationwide project led by
the Wildlife Trusts. The aim of the project is to work with school
communities to develop plans for utilizing local green spaces as a tool
for building mental health resilience in vulnerable children.
Rather than a specific delivery role, the successful candidate will work
closely with staff across the school community to shape a program of
outdoor sessions designed to influence positive mental health benefits.
You will need to be able to influence school leaders and create dynamic
plans in liaison with all staff in the setting. The project is also subject to external evaluation and you will be
expected to assist in the recruitment of the schools and facilitate the
work of the evaluators. This is a part-time (22.5 hours per week), fixed term appointment
until December 2020 based at Cricklepit Mill. The ideal candidate
will have project management experience, specifically working in
education outreach, including working with school leaders. They will
need to be able to work independently, be creative and dynamic, able to
put together a relevant delivery model and train others to use it. We can offer you good terms and conditions, flexible working
arrangements and a great office environment. The successful
candidate will be joining a team of committed, hardworking and friendly
colleagues. This is a great opportunity to take the next step in your
career within a leading Devon charity. You can download an application pack from www.devonwildlifetrust.org/jobs |
