We have great opportunity based at our Shuttleworth campus for an Associate Lecturer in Agriculture to become a key member of our Land and Environment department.

 

As an Associate Lecturer in Agriculture, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students through:

  

  • Preparing, delivering and assessing Agriculture qualifications within the land based provision on a range of Agriculture courses, including apprenticeships.
  • Supporting and guiding students to achieve success and realise their potential.
  • Managing students’ learning and providing a high quality learning experience.
  • Contributing pro-actively to developments in the Centre in curriculum development and innovative teaching.
  • Participating in marketing and promotion activities to support a range of programmes and learning opportunities.

 

Our ideal candidates will have a minimum of three years industry experience in the UK Agriculture industry and knowledge of the current developments in UK Agriculture, alongside the following qualifications:

  

  • Relevant degree and/or level 5 qualification in Agriculture
  • Willingness to achieve Certificate in Education/PGCE or equivalent
  • GSCE Maths and English (grades A – C) or equivalent

Contract Type - Bedford College Professional Services Ltd (BCPS Ltd)

 

Unqualified Lecturer - FE - £20.50 per hour

Unqualified Lecturer - HE - £23.00 per hour

 

Qualified Lecturer - FE - £21.50 per hour

Qualified Lecturer - HR - £24.00 per hour

 

An Enhanced DBS check will be required and you will be required to declare any convictions, cautions, reprimands or final warnings, which would not be filtered in line with current guidance.
