Salary: 12,345 (pro rata) per annum (FTE 20,575)

Contract: Fixed term to 31 August 2019

Hours: Part-time, 21 hours per week

Based:  College Lake Nature Reserve, near Tring


The Wild Trax project (funded by the Rothschilds Foundation) is a partnership pilot initiative between the Berks, Bucks and Oxon Wildlife Trust, The Herts and Middlesex Wildlife Trust and the Natural History Museum at Tring.  The project aims are to engage young people in Aylesbury and Dacorum Districts through youth-led, wildlife related activities and has been running since June 2017.


The successful candidate will inspire, support and encourage young people to take action for wildlife. In particular:


  • To work with local schools, youth groups and other partners to develop and deliver the Wild Trax project objectives
  • To engage 100-200 young people through a variety of initiatives and approaches
  • To evaluate the relative effectiveness of different approaches to engaging young people to inform how the partner organisations will take forward work with young people beyond the project


The Berks, Bucks & Oxon Wildlife Trust is a membership-based voluntary organisation, managing over 80 nature reserves, influencing land management and educating and encouraging all sectors of the community to care for local wildlife.
