Are you looking for an exciting and rewarding opportunity to work in one of the most beautiful and scenic landscapes in the world? We have a rare and exciting opportunity for a Water Ranger to join our Ranger Team.


Loch Lomond & The Trossachs National Park covers over 720 square miles of Scotlandís finest countryside which welcomes over 4 million visitors each year. From the stunning sea lochs and rugged coastline through the majestic glens and breathtaking Loch & Ben Lomond, Scotlandís first National Park truly is a magical place.


As a currently endorsed RYA advanced Power Boat or Coastal Skipper with experience of working in a customer focus role, you will understand the importance of bylaw enforcement and boat patrolling. You will work with other teams across the National Park to help deliver a wide range of initiatives including providing a high quality visitor experience.


We are looking for candidates who can demonstrate the following:

  • Experience in boat handling as a skipper
  • Good communication interpersonal skills
  • Good ICT skills, with a good eye for details when completing paperwork.
  • A positive and flexible attitude.
  • Experience of visitor management or work in a customer focused role.
  • Knowledge and understanding of natural heritage and visitor management issues.
