Join the North Pembrokeshire Ranger team on the spectacular North Pembrokeshire coast and inland heaths. Working alongside staff & other volunteers, you will gain knowledge, skills & experience in countryside management, whilst ensuring the protection & enhancement of the environment for all to enjoy. Work will include estate maintenance, vegetation control, habitat management & surveying, livestock checking as well as learning how the property is managed by working with rangers.  


There will be the opportunity to assist in the lead of events, practical volunteer days, along with days where lone working will be required.


You will be required to use a wide variety of tools, machinery & equipment. As your experience increases, so too will your opportunities & responsibilities. Some weekend & evening work. Training courses will be provided subject to funding & availability e.g. Lantra & NPTC, B+E trailer licence.


This fantastic opportunity will suit those who are of a practical & friendly nature, physically fit, enjoy working outdoors, & are looking to gain experience to develop a career within the conservation sector. Full driving licence is essential.


5 days a week for at 12 months. Accommodation is provided free in our bunkhouse at our Mathry basecamp with unspoilt views over the St Davidís peninsula.
