Natural England

Team: West Midlands - Wyre Forest NNR Team

Role Title: Reserve Warden - Wyre Forest and Wye Valley National Nature Reserves (NNR)

Natural England is looking for someone to join our NNR team, based in the Wyre Forest. The successful candidate will work across the West Midlands managing a series of nationally important SSSI/NNRs. These sites include the Wyre Forest, Moccas Park, The Flits, Lady Park Wood, Highbury Wood and The Hudnalls, spread over Shropshire, Worcestershire, Herefordshire and Gloucestershire.

The Wyre Forest NNR is managed in partnership by Natural England and the Forest Enterprise (FE) and contains high oak canopy woodland, heathland, wood pasture, species rich grassland and several small traditional orchards. The Wyre Forest is also a stronghold for a variety of species such as the pearl bordered fritillary, dormouse, redstart, pied flycatcher amongst others. This role provides a huge opportunity to help employ new ways of working across the public estate in the Wyre Forest NNR, implementing the recently created NE/FE joint management plan.
