The North East Scotland Biodiversity Steering Group is a partnership established to progress the North East Scotland Local Biodiversity Action Plan. The Group consists of representatives from the following organisations: Aberdeenshire, Moray and Aberdeen City Councils, Forestry Commission Scotland, Royal Society for the Protection of Birds, National Farmersí Union of Scotland, Scottish Environment Protection Agency, Scottish Government Rural Payments and Inspections Directorate, Scottish Natural Heritage and the James Hutton Institute.


We are seeking a dynamic and self-motivated person to assist with the implementation and further development of the North East Scotland Local Biodiversity Action Plan, through the work of the Local Biodiversity Partnership.


The role, which will be employed by the James Hutton Institute, will involve promoting the value of biodiversity to the local community and assisting the coordinator in achieving the goals of the Partnership. Also, you will support Partners in delivering actions for priority habitats and species, with regard to the Nature Conservation Act 2004.
