We are looking to appoint a passionate and enthusiastic individual to lead our Natural Environment Team.


You will lead the development of an integrated approach to conserving and enhancing Suffolk's natural environment, within the council and with external partners, to deliver a joined-up approach to sustainable growth.


This is an exciting opportunity to take the lead role for Suffolk County Council in championing conservation and protection of Suffolk's natural heritage, seeking new ways of engaging local communities and business in conserving Suffolk's unique and beautiful environment.


You will have:

  • a degree (or equivalent) relating to environmental issues and / or policy
  • strong demonstrable experience of delivery through partnership working
  • a proven ability to lead and develop teams and direct resources to maximise the value of the teams' activities for stakeholders
  • budget management and proven ability to deliver externally funded projects.
