This a Full Time Permanent position

 

WWT London Wetland Centre is looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working individual to join our small Grounds team.  You will have a keen interest in animals, especially birds, with solid hands-on experience of their care, and will play a key part in engaging visitors in our collection species, and WWTs wider conservation work, through the delivery of walks and talks. 

 

This is a broad and varied position, and the delivery and maintenance of a high standard of presentation and hygiene throughout all the Grounds areas, in addition to the animal collection, are an essential part of the role. Duties will include the daily feeding, husbandry and welfare of the living collection, including enclosure maintenance, along with all aspects of amenity horticultural maintenance of the visitor areas. 

 

You will already hold a recognised qualification in animal management, but in addition, some experience in the operation of grounds-keeping equipment and machinery is desirable.
