Office Administrator

We have an exciting opportunity for an Office Administrator, working in a new, purpose-built office. The role will support a team delivering high-quality conservation and estate management work.

 

Job Brief

We are looking for a well-qualified, organised and reliable Office Administrator. They will undertake administrative tasks, ensuring the rest of the staff has adequate support to work efficiently.

 

The ideal candidate will be competent in prioritizing and working with little supervision. They will be self-motivated and trustworthy.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate office activities and operations to secure efficiency and compliance to company policies
  • Manage agendas/travel arrangements/appointments etc. for the upper management
  • Help plan and coordinate events relating to the estates environmental work (open days, exhibitions, courses, training etc)
  • Manage phone calls, deliveries and correspondence (e-mail, letters, packages etc.)Support budgeting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Update records and databases
  • Submit timely reports and prepare presentations/proposals as assigned
  • Undertake research relevant to the estate work, as requested
  • Track stocks of office supplies and place orders when necessary
  • Ensure office and common areas are maintained to the highest standards, following sustainable guidelines

 

Knowledge, Experience, Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience as an office administrator, office assistant or relevant role
  • Outstanding written communication skills and interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Familiarity with office management procedures and basic accounting principles
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software are essential
  • Ability to plan, prioritise and manage deadlines
  • A relevant degree or extensive secretarial studies qualifications
  • Self-motivated, able to work on multiple projects
  • A strong interest in conservation is desirable

  

Working Hours

8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday

 

Salary

18k to 24k, depending on experience and qualifications.
