Based near Shrewsbury but we collect at sites throughout the UK

Job Responsibilities:

The majority of the time in the autumn is spent collecting berries or cones at various locations and then extracting the seed from these berries and cones at our site in Hadnall. The seed then has to be cleaned and prepared for dispatch, storage or stratification.

Seasonal variation:

This is a seasonal job; we are looking for people to start in the near future and work until November/December time; this is our peak collection period.


Qualifications needed:

No specific qualifications or experience are required, just a willingness to learn


Skills needed: Different tasks require different skills in terms of either strength or dexterity. Most of your time is spent working in teams or pairs so the ability to work with other people and having a positive outlook on life is a great advantage. We collect seed from the ground or from ladders or cherry-pickers but you will be trained before being asked to use these.
