We want as many people as possible to be able to use this website.

We’re following available standards and guidelines to increase the accessibility and usability of our website and make it as user friendly as possible.

We aim to make the website text as simple as possible to understand, however as much of the content is supplied to CJS (i.e. adverts and feature articles) and not written by us it may at times not meet this aim.  

Compliance Status

The CJS website complies with the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0. The guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible for people with a range of disabilities, although they cover a wide range of issues, they are not able to address the needs of people with all types, degrees, and combinations of disability. In creating a compliant website it makes it more user friendly for all people.

Customise the site to your needs

Although the website has been built to be as friendly and accessible as possible you may need to customise your computer to suit your individual needs. There may already be accessibility features on your computer or you may prefer to install assistive technologies to help you.
