Ensuring every child has equal access to experience the benefits of nature

Provision of outdoor clothing to state primary schools to include waterproof jackets, overtrousers and Wellington Boots enabling schools to embed regular, curriculum‑linked outdoor sessions that support improved mental health, reduced stress and anxiety, and increased resilience, particularly for those from disadvantaged backgrounds. Early, positive experiences of nature will help to establish lifelong habits around physical activity, time outdoors, and environmental stewardship, contributing to healthier, more active communities over time.

Development of free online resources for teachers and parents, downloadable from our website. Our research highlights that with school budgets under sustained pressure, demand is greatest for resources that span cross-curricular areas science, geography and design & technology, alongside activities that encourage creativity, problem-solving, and reading for pleasure, and those that promote a meaningful relationship with nature.
