In 2020 adverts for jobs focusing on research e.g. fieldwork and surveyors accounted for 4.75% of the total advertised by CJS.
Research posts are placed on the webpages most closely related to the research subject; e.g. looking at tree planting density would be on the arboriculture pages.
Fieldworker and surveyor roles are usually published on the ecology sector which in 2020 had 13,324 page views. Pages tagged research were viewed 1381 times in January 2021
According to our 2020 readership survey information and adverts related to research are of interest to 92% of the readership. For 19% this area forms the main focus of their job search and 41% would like to see more of these advertised with CJS. In 2020 we asked about areas which we don't currently cover as standard and 58% of respondents indicated they would like us to include more research roles in areas such as plant pathology and eDNA. As a result we are actively seeking these roles.
As these are relatively new areas for us and we can't guarantee our usual high quality candidates, if you quote New21 when advertising we'll give you a 50% discount on these roles which fall outside out normal coverage.

We have been using CJS to advertise for many years to advertise for our seasonal temp workers. The staff at CJS have been so helpful and lovely communicate with. It's extremely easy to put an advert out and it doesn't cost the earth. I even needed to alter our advert a couple of times and they had no issue with changing it for us, no charge, no fuss.
