Skills for BeeWalk Project Manager

An opportunity to join a successful and growing conservation charity!

Skills for BeeWalk Project Manager

Salary £27-30,000 (pro rata) per annum

The Bumblebee Conservation Trust (the Trust) is looking for a part-time (0.8FTE) Skills for BeeWalk Project Manager.

Your primary role will be to lead the Trust’s bumblebee identification and monitoring training, including both in-person training days and the creation of an online training curriculum.

Intro: As the Trust grows, we are working to move our bumblebee identification and monitoring training programme beyond just one-day in-person field- & classroom-based events. Taking advantage of increased digital literacy, we aim to refresh our training approach, in particular by building a modular online curriculum covering bumblebee identification as well as surveying and monitoring. This role would also include developing and line-managing survey- and mentoring-based on-the-ground Skills for Bees projects.

You will be expert in field bumblebee ID, with considerable experience of teaching, ideally natural history tutoring of adults. This should include experience teaching or training online, in the field, and in classroom situations. You will have experience of putting together your own teaching materials as well as delivery.

You will be comfortable working collaboratively in a remote team, including remote line management, and be happy to travel for work.

Please refer to the job description and person specification for more details of the role.

This is a part-time (0.8FTE) permanent position, home-based in the UK.

The closing date is 9am Monday 15th April 2024. Applications may close before the deadline, so please apply early to avoid disappointment.

There is an expectation that work will be undertaken in the UK.

This role is not eligible for sponsorship. Applicants are required to have an existing right to work in the UK. The Trust recruits, employs, trains and promotes regardless of race, religion, colour, national origin, gender, disability, age, and other protected status.

At the Trust, we have a clear goal: to be the place where a diverse mix of talented people want to come, to stay and do their best work. We pride ourselves on reaching for our vision – to reverse the decline in bumblebees, through the hard work and dedication of our passionate and creative employees.
