This will help build our understanding of seabird distribution & behaviour around boats. A chance to spend time out at sea on a boat (possibly a fishing boat, which is interesting in itself). Data will be logged in the European Seabirds at Sea database so will be of international value. On a recent observation, vols & staff saw dolphins, pomerine skuas, corys & yelkouan shearwater, yellow-legged gulls, lesser black backs. Migratory birds are also a high possibility in spring & autumn. This role may involve spending days at sea. Commitment: 1 wek min, project will finish end of June 2010. period: all year.
