Lush planting with nectar rich plants. Sedum roof on the garden building. Small touches like the snail shell shaped anvil stone for thrushes to use to crack snail shells and the complex insect box (minibeast towers) providing a home to mason bees, ladybirds, lacewings and much more.  
     
     

The Trailfinders Recycled Garden (WRAP)- Award Bronze Flora

Featuring recycled everyday objects, see the 'feature' at the end of the water - it's made from old 'glitter balls' from the ballroom!

 

The Real Rubbish Garden (RSPB / SITA Environmental Trust). Award - Silver Flora.

The 'ammonite' is made from plastic tea stirrers, the gabions are filled with old building materials providing a home for many invertebrates.
     
 
The edging of the pool is made from recycled plastic bottles and CDs   Not all gardens are neat, tidy & pristine, here's the compost bin behind the shed (with sedum roof) and an area of rough grass, the log walls provide homes to more insect life.
The planting is with native plants, all wildlife friendly providing homes & food for a wide range of wildlife.
