A great opportunity to develop your skills and experience, and make new contacts with fellow countryside and natural greenspace professionals.

The Countryside Management Association  needs Regional Chairs for:

North East, Yorkshire and the Humber, East Midlands, The South East, Wales

logo: Countryside Management Association

Formed in 1966 the CMA is the largest organisation supporting the work of conservation, access and recreation professionals in the natural greenspace and countryside sector throughout England and Wales. Our Regional Chair positions form the backbone of our regional work and support for our members. Following the development of a new regional structure we have a number of regional chair vacancies. The positions are voluntary but are often supported by existing employers due to the developmental benefits for the individual and for the benefits of learning good practice and networking for the employer. Regional chairs will need to dedicate around 50 hours per year to ensure that at least two study days are delivered within their region and in order to attend meetings and carry out project work. Successful applicants won’t necessarily be current CMA members but will have lots of commitment, good knowledge and experience of countryside/natural greenspace management and good interpersonal skills.

For more information please contact Dan Barnett CMA Vice –Chair  at dan@thebarnetts.co.uk, 01905 766155   or visit the CMA Website http://www.countrysidemanagement.org.uk
