10 Which, if any, other areas should CJS include?
The most frequent requests were for more arboriculture and wildlife jobs, both are areas CJS already covers to some degree however we will research into ways to extend our coverage in these areas.
There were a few requests to include overseas jobs. We do include any international posts which are sent to us directly by the employer (or their agent) and a few which we find which are just too good to leave out but we don't have the knowledge or resources to create a comprehensive overseas digest. We don't feel it would be in keeping with the high CJS standards to produce a partial directory.
The only area which was frequently mentioned was general estate work; for the majority of these post the adverts appear in the local press and not nationally, it would be impossible for us to collate information from every local paper for inclusion in the digest section. We are very conscious of not overwhelming a small office with a flood of applications from CJS readers. However, we acknowledge that this is an area we really should be considering and therefore will look at ways of offering CJS services to as many of the smaller organisations and employers as possible thereby bringing more of these vacancies together.
