CJS Annual Review |

The 10th CJS Annual Review for 2005 published this month.
The very last chance to purchase a copy of CJS Annual Review.
It is with regret that we have decided not to continue to produce the Annual Review. The work involved in the data collection and entry grows each year. We have also noticed a trend for adverts to direct the applicant to the employer's website for more details which means that CJS does not have the full details of the vacancy and we are concerned that this is skewing the data and therefore not presenting a true reflection of the employment market.
The 5000+ paid vacancies advertised in CJS during 2005 are analysed and compared with previous years. Details are distilled out and concentrated into bite size summaries as well as a series of easily digestible tables and graphs. Trends in employment observed over the years are discussed.
Price: just £50 per copy or £25 per copy to CJS subscribers (with current CJS number), the datasearch starts at £50 per question (half price for subscribers), we will provide you with a quote before work starts on the search. To obtain your copy of CJS Annual Review 2005 call us or print out the order form. (links below)
Published 6/6/06.
Order form: word document or pdf.
2004 Edition still available as a back issue. Now just £15 per copy.
Did you know that….
How do we know this?
The CJS Annual Review for 2004 is now published.
The 5870 paid vacancies advertised in CJS are analysed in greater detail than in any of the eight years previously reviewed. Details from every one of the 4625 adverts are distilled out and concentrated into bite size summaries as well as a series of easily digestible tables and graphs. Trends in employment observed over the years are discussed.
If you are looking for a job in the countryside, environment or conservation fields or are about to draw up the details for a new post you cannot afford not to read this Review. It tells you all you ever wanted to know but were afraid to ask and a whole load more you never even thought about.
If, as we suspect, you cannot survive without a copy of The Countryside Jobs Service Review 2004 then contact us here at CJS and for minimal cost we will be delighted to send you a copy. A University Careers Adviser having purchased a copy of the Review wrote to compliment us on it and stated that it was, "probably the most heavily used item in our Careers Room." What more incentive could we give you other than the ridiculously low price, just £40 (incl p&p).
And don't forget the CJS Datasearch. We will search the dataset for any specified year between 1997 and 2004 for information in response to specific questions. E.g. What is the average salary for Rights of Way Officers, and does membership of IPROW or another professional corporate organisation make a difference to salary expectations? Or what is the national variation in numbers of education officers & their locations i.e. at field study centres or attached to nature reserves.
Price just £40 per copy or £20 per copy to CJS subscribers (with current CJS number), the datasearch starts at £50 per question (half price for subscribers), we will provide you with a quote before work starts on the search.
Good news and bad.

The only analysis of the 5563 paid vacancies in the UK advertised in CJS during 2003. This is the eigth such annual review published by us and contains details of job specifications divided into various categories. These include regional distribution, salary, qualifications, experience and skills required, as well as the type of site where this wide range of employment is located. Also included are the trends observed by CJS within this specialised field over the eight years of the Reviews.
CJS Data Search
The data accrued during the analyses is far too great for every detail to be included in the Review. To publish all the details in our possession would require a much greater volume and therefore a much higher price, so we are able to make this information available to solve certain problems or queries appertaining to the vacancies we have published over the years. The searchable dataset (in annual sets) are 1997 to 2004. We will search the chosen dataset(s) to elicit the information you require and present it to you in the form of a mini-report.
Please contact us with your question(s), the more specific the better. We are happy to provide a quote before we start on your datasearch.
From £50 per question (half price to subscribers).
